Nana Jean's Chocolate Sponge Pudding

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 ounces butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup self raising flour
  • 4 teaspoons cocoa
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 teaspoons cocoa
  • 2 cups hot boiled water

Recipe

  • 1 cream butter and sugar (just using wooden spoon).
  • 2 add egg.
  • 3 mix well.
  • 4 fold in sifted flour and cocoa alternately with milk and vanilla/.
  • 5 top with mixed cocoa and sugar.
  • 6 gently pour hot water over ingredients.
  • 7 bake in moderate oven for 30-40 minutes.
