Lemon Sauce (for Crazy Gingerbread)

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 9
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon peel
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
  • 2 stir in water and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture boils.
  • 3 remove from heat and add remaining ingredients. stir until butter is melted and mixture is well blended.
  • 4 serve with gingerbread, bread pudding, or other desserts.
