Irish Whiskey Cake

Ingredients
- 1 cup chopped pecans or 1 cup walnuts
- 1 (18 ounce) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup irish whiskey
- 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
- 1/4 lb butter
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/2-1 cup irish whiskey (to your taste)
Recipe
- 1 cake:.
- 2 grease and flour a bundt or tube pan. sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan.
- 3 combine remaining ingredients and mix well. pour batter into pan.
- 4 bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
- 5 cool; invert onto plate.
- 6 prick holes in cake with toothpick.
- 7 drizzle glaze over top and sides, allowing it to be absorbed into cake.
- 8 continue until all glaze is used.

- 10 melt butter in saucepan.
- 11 add water and sugar.
- 12 boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. remove from heat; stir in whiskey.
- 13 cool slightly and pour over cake as directed above.
