Irish Whiskey Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 5 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped pecans or 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 (18 ounce) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup irish whiskey
  • 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2-1 cup irish whiskey (to your taste)

Recipe

  • 1 cake:.
  • 2 grease and flour a bundt or tube pan. sprinkle nuts over bottom of pan.
  • 3 combine remaining ingredients and mix well. pour batter into pan.
  • 4 bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
  • 5 cool; invert onto plate.
  • 6 prick holes in cake with toothpick.
  • 7 drizzle glaze over top and sides, allowing it to be absorbed into cake.
