Lithuanian Cranberry Pudding For Christmas Eve

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup potato starch
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves

Recipe

  • 1 transfer cranberries into a pot.
  • 2 pour in enough water to cover, add cinnamon sticks and whole cloves.
  • 3 heat until cranberries begin to break up.
  • 4 remove from heat, press mixture through a food mill.
  • 5 there should be about 4 cups [1 l] of juice and pulp.
  • 6 chill a little of cranberry juice and mix sugar into remaining cranberry mixture.

  • 11 refrigerate until set before serving.
