Mom's 50 Year Hard Sauce

Ingredients

• 1 cup brown sugar, packed
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 1 1/2 cups boiling water
• 2 tablespoons molasses
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 tablespoon cherry brandy

Recipe

• 1 in a saucepan, stir together the sugar and cornstarch.
• 2 add the remaining ingredients, and boil until thick.
• 3 add cherry brandy-- every time you walk by.
