Crock Pot Raisin Bread Pudding

Total Time: 5 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 5 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 8 slices bread, cubed
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 place bread cubes in a greased slow cooker.
  • 2 in bowl beat eggs, milk.
  • 3 stir in sugar, butter, raisins, and cinnamon.
  • 4 add to milk/eggs.
  • 5 pour over bread.
  • 6 cover and cook on high for 1 hour.
  • 7 reduce heat and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until a thermometer reads 160 degrees.
  • 8 just before serving, melt butter in saucepan.
  • 9 stir in flour until smooth.
  • 10 gradually add water, sugar and vanilla.
  • 11 bring to a boil.
  • 12 cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened.
  • 13 serve with warm bread pudding.
