Grand Marnier Rice Pudding

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup arborio rice
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons grand marnier (can also use cointreau)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium saucepan, bring milk, sugar, rice and salt to a boil, stirring frequently. reduce heat and simmer about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 2 lightly beat egg in a medium bowl. gradually stir about a fourth of the hot milk mixture into the egg; return to pan, stirring constantly. simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until mixture is thick and rice is tender.
  • 3 remove from heat; stir in liqueur, vanilla and butter, stirring until butter melts.
