Chocolate Rum Bread Pudding

Ingredients

- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 1/2 tablespoons dark rum
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
- 4 cups bread, 1 inch cubes
- whipped cream
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 f degrees.
- 2 in a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and cream.
- 3 add sugar, cinnamon, rum, salt, cocoa, bittersweet chocolate and whisk until well combined.
- 4 spread bread over the bottom of a buttered 2 qt baking dish.
- 5 pour the egg-cream mixture over the bread and let sit 10 minutes.
- 6 place the baking dish inside a larger baking pan, add enough boiling water to reach halfway up the baking dish.
- 7 bake 50- 60 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 8 serve warm with whipped cream.
