Peanut Butter Brownie Bars

Ingredients
- 1 (19 1/2 ounce) package fudge brownie mix
- 12 peanut butter cups, chopped
- 1/2 cup salted peanuts, chopped
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/4 cups creamy peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe
- 1 prepare brownie mix according to package directions.
- 2 spread into a greased 13x9 baking pan and bake 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- 3 sprinkle with peanut butter cups and peanuts, and bake 4-6 minutes longer, or until chocolate is melted.
- 4 cool on a wire rack.
- 5 in a large saucepan, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, butter, and salt.
- 6 cook and stir until the chips are melted, and the mixture is smooth.
- 7 remove from heat, and stir in rice cereal, and vanilla extract.
- 8 carefully spread over brownies.
- 9 cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting.
