Granny's Bread Pudding

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups half-and-half cream
  • 7 slices honey wheat bread
  • 1 small amount butter
  • 1 dash cinnamon

Recipe

  • 1 in a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar and vanilla.
  • 2 add half & half, whisk vigorously until foamy.
  • 3 tear apart bread slices and soak briefly until moist.
  • 4 grease six ramekins (about 3-1/4 inches in diameter) with a little butter.
  • 5 ladle mixture to the top of each ramekin.
  • 6 place ramekins in a large ovenproof glass baking dish with a half-inch of water.
  • 7 bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
