Honey Raisin Bread Pudding

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 4 cups bread, cubes
  • 1 quart whole milk
  • 5 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2 combine honey and bread cubes.
  • 3 cook over low heat until honey is absorbed.
  • 4 rinse raisins and drain.
  • 5 blend milk, eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla.
  • 6 add milk mixture and raisins to bread cubes.
  • 7 mix well.
  • 8 pour into buttered baking dish.
  • 9 sprinkle with nutmeg.
  • 10 place dish in pan of warm water.
  • 11 bake one hour.
  • 12 serve with whipped cream flavored with rum extract.
