Graham Cracker Fluff

Total Time: 3 hrs Preparation Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 ounce unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 large egg whites, stiffly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 12 graham crackers, crushed

Recipe

  • 1 beat egg yolks, and add sugar --
  • 2 add milk and cook in top of double boiler till slightly thickened --
  • 3 soak unflavored gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes --
  • 4 pour hot mixture over softened gelatin --
  • 5 stir till smooth --
  • 6 chill until slightly thickened.add beaten egg whites, vanilla and heavy cream to chilled mixture --
  • 7 combine melted butter, sugar and cracker crumbs to make crumb crust --
  • 8 sprinkle half the crumbs into bottom of serving dish --
  • 9 spread chilled mixture over crumbs.
  • 10 sprinkle remaining crumbs over top.
  • 11 chill in the refrigerator for several hours before serving.
