Graham Cracker Fluff

Ingredients

- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 ounce unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 large egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 12 graham crackers, crushed
Recipe
- 1 beat egg yolks, and add sugar --
- 2 add milk and cook in top of double boiler till slightly thickened --
- 3 soak unflavored gelatin in cold water for 5 minutes --
- 4 pour hot mixture over softened gelatin --
- 5 stir till smooth --
- 6 chill until slightly thickened.add beaten egg whites, vanilla and heavy cream to chilled mixture --
- 7 combine melted butter, sugar and cracker crumbs to make crumb crust --
- 8 sprinkle half the crumbs into bottom of serving dish --
- 9 spread chilled mixture over crumbs.
- 10 sprinkle remaining crumbs over top.
- 11 chill in the refrigerator for several hours before serving.
