Gigi's Lemon Fluff Sauce

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup water, boiling
  • 1 egg, separated
  • 4 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon rind, grated

Recipe

  • 1 mix cornstarch and sugar in saucepan.
  • 2 add water, bring to a boil and cook over low heat for 5 minutes while stirring constantly.
  • 3 mix egg yolk and lemon juice together.
  • 4 add to heated mixture and stir.
  • 5 remove from heat.
  • 6 beat egg until stiff but not dry.
  • 7 fold heated mixture and lemond rind into egg whites.
  • 8 chill.
