Coffee Cream (kaffeecreme)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1/2 cup extra strong coffee
  • 1/2 cup cream, can also use milk
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 egg, separated
  • whipped cream, garnish

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium pan bring coffee, cream or milk, and sugar to a boil. in a small bowl add corn starch and dissolve in water. constantly stirring, add cornstarch to coffee mixture and cook for 3 minutes. remove from heat.
  • 2 beat egg yolk and stir into coffee mixture, bring to a boil. remove from heat. fold in beaten egg and pour into glass serving bowl. chill thoroughly in refrigerator and decoreate with whipped cream before serving.
