Microwave Romero (norwegian Milk Pudding)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups half-and-half cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter in a large microwave-safe bowl.
  • 2 stir in the flour with a wire whisk. cook in microwave until mixture bubbles; then cook 30 seconds longer.
  • 3 heat half & half and milk together. slowly add to flour mixture; stir with wire whisk.
  • 4 cook in microwave until mixture begins to boil, about 2 minutes.
  • 5 remove from microwave and stir in sugar and salt.
  • 6 microwave 30 seconds longer.
  • 7 add more hot milk if necessary to reach desired consistency.
  • 8 serve warm with melted butter, cinnamon and sugar, if desired.
