Croissant Pudding

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 500 ml milk
  • 500 ml cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 200 g caster sugar
  • 4 all butter croissants
  • 25 g sultanas
  • 175 g chocolate, grated
  • 3 tablespoons whiskey

Recipe

  • 1 pre-heat the oven to 200c/390f/gas 6.
  • 2 pour the milk and cream into a pan and slowly bring to the boil.
  • 3 put the eggs and sugar into a bowl and mix well.
  • 4 whilst the milk and cream is heating break up and place the croissants into an ovenproof dish.
  • 5 sprinkle with the sultanas.
  • 6 when the milk and cream has boiled remove from the heat, add the egg and sugar mixture and the chocolate and stir well until the chocolate has melted.
  • 7 add the whisky.
  • 8 strain the mixture over the croissants, cover with foil and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until almost set.
  • 9 place under a hot grill and serve.
