Chocolate Pudding (sunny Anderson)

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Recipe
- 1 heat cocoa, sugar, cornstarch and milk in a large saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring continuosly. let simmer for a few minutes till the pudding slightly thickens.
- 2 beat the egg and temper it by adding a ladle or 2 of the hot pudding mixture and whisking it immediately so that it doesn't scramble.
- 3 slowly pour it back into the saucepan, whisking the pudding all the while.
- 4 add the semi-sweet chocolate chips and mix. let the pudding cook for a while till it thickens.
- 5 pour in individual ramekins or serving bowls and refrigerate for an hour or so till cold.
- 6 serve chilled.
