Chocolate Pudding

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups milk, whole
  • 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 in a medium saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt. gradually stir in milk. add chocolate.
  • 2 cook over medium heat until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly.
  • 3 boil one minute.
  • 4 in small bowl, blend about 1/3 of hot mixture into egg yolks.
  • 5 return yolk mixture to hot mixture; blend well.
  • 6 cook until mixture bubbles, stirring constantly.
  • 7 remove from heat; add vanilla.

  • 9 cool slightly before serving.
