Lilly Belle's Strawberry Pudding

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• 2 cups milk
• 2 eggs, seperated
• 1 (8 ounce) package frozen strawberries
• 1 tablespoon butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• vanilla wafer

Recipe

• 1 mix sugar and flour togather.
• 2 add enough milk to sugar/flour to make paste.
• 3 stir in egg yolks to paste.
• 4 stir in remaining milk.
• 5 cook over double boiler until thick.
• 6 add strawberries.
• 7 cook about 5 minutes.
• 8 remove from heat.
• 9 add butter and vanilla.
• 10 stir.
• 11 line bottom of a 10 cup or 2.5 l bowl with vanilla wafers. (recipe calls for jackson wafers but i use nilla brand)
• 12 pour half of strawberry mixture over wafers.
• 13 repeat layers.
• 14 may make meringue with egg whites or top with whipped cream.
