Old Country Buffet Pudding Cake

Ingredients
- Servings: 12
- 1 cup flour
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons melted shortening
- 1 teaspoon shortening
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 3/4 cups hot water
Recipe
- 1 combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt, milk, shortening, & vanilla.
- 2 blend until smooth.
- 3 pour cake mixture into ungreased 9" square pan (use 9x13 if doubled).
- 4 in small mixing bowl, mix brown sugar, cocoa & water. pour over batter.
- 5 bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
