Old Country Buffet Pudding Cake

Ingredients

• Servings: 12
• 1 cup flour
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/4 cup cocoa
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 tablespoons melted shortening
• 1 teaspoon shortening
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 3/4 cups hot water

Recipe

• 1 combine flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, salt, milk, shortening, & vanilla.
• 2 blend until smooth.
• 3 pour cake mixture into ungreased 9" square pan (use 9x13 if doubled).
• 4 in small mixing bowl, mix brown sugar, cocoa & water. pour over batter.
• 5 bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 degrees.
