Doncaster Butterscotch - Traditional English!

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 lb brown sugar
  • 6 ounces butter
  • 1/2 pint milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

Recipe

  • 1 in a large saucepan, heat the milk & add the sugar - cook gently over a low heat, stirring well.
  • 2 add butter and cream of tartar. boil until a little dropped into cold water hardens.
  • 3 pour into greased ramekins or pudding moulds and leave to set.
