Low-cal, Bottle Gourd Squash Pudding( Doodhi Kheer)

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup gourd (peel the zucchini first) or 1 cup zucchini, grated (peel the zucchini first)
  • 2 1/2 cups 2% low-fat milk
  • 2 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar or 3 tablespoons splenda sugar substitute
  • 1/4 teaspoon ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

Recipe

  • 1 mix the dry milk in 1 cup water and make a smooth paste.
  • 2 heat the ghee.
  • 3 add the squash and lightly saute.
  • 4 add the milk, milk powder mix and the sugar. simmer on medium heat till squash is cooked.
  • 5 add the cardamom powder.
  • 6 serve warm or chilled.
