Layered Chocolate Bars

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups flour
• 3/4 cup butter
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts, we've always used walnuts
• 8 ounces cream cheese
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 8 ounces cool whip
• 3 (4 ounce) boxes instant chocolate pudding mix
• 8 ounces cool whip
• 1/2 cup chocolate shavings

Recipe

• 1 for the crust:.
• 2 cream the butter and flour; add the nuts. press firmly into a 9x11 pan. bake at 300 degrees farenheit for 15 minutes. let cool completely.
• 3 for the first layer:.
• 4 mix all ingredients well and spread on the cooled crust.
• 5 for the second layer:.
• 6 prepare pudding according to package directions. spread in the pan.
• 7 for the topping:.
• 8 spread with cool whip and garnish with chocolate shavings.
• 9 chill for 45 minutes and serve.
